ServicePlus Labour Warranty

Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions govern the ServicePlus Heating and Cooling labour warranty and apply exclusively to installations where an extended labour warranty was purchased at the time of installation, unless otherwise expressly agreed to in writing. 

Coverage Period

This in-house labour warranty is valid from the date of installation until the commencement of any applicable extended labour warranty.

This warranty is provided strictly for the purpose of bridging any waiting period associated with extended labour warranty coverage and shall automatically terminate upon activation of such extended coverage. Under no circumstances shall this labour warranty be reinstated or extended if the extended labour warranty is later voided, cancelled, or deemed ineligible for any reason. 

Scope of Coverage

This warranty applies exclusively to labour required to repair or replace components deemed defective under the manufacturer’s parts warranty for equipment supplied and installed by ServicePlus Heating and Cooling. All parts coverage is provided strictly by the manufacturer and is subject to the manufacturer’s terms, conditions, and limitations. ServicePlus Heating and Cooling makes no representation or guarantee regarding manufacturer warranty coverage, and customers are advised to review all applicable manufacturer warranty documentation directly. 

Authorized Service Requirement

Coverage under the warranty is strictly limited to work performed by ServicePlus Heating and Cooling. Any service, repair, adjustment, or modification performed by a third party will result in the immediate voidance of this labour warranty. 

Exclusions

This warranty does not include and the Company shall not be responsible for any of the following:

  • Diagnostic or assessment fees
  • After-hours or emergency service rates
  • Travel or trip charges
  • Secondary, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Routine maintenance of any kind
  • Failures or deficiencies resulting from:
    • Lack or required maintenance
    • Neglect, misuse, abuse, or improper operation
    • External factors including, but not limited to, power fluctuations, environmental conditions, or acts of nature
    • Unauthorized alterations, repairs, or installations
Homeowner Responsibilities

The homeowner is solely responsible for all routine maintenance and care of the equipment, including but not limited to filter replacement, cleaning and general upkeep. Routine maintenance services are not included under this warranty. As a condition of this warranty, the equipment must be inspected and service annually by a licensed HVAC technician with the appropriate certificate. Failure to complete and maintain records or annual maintenance will result in the immediate voidance of this labour warranty. ServicePlus reserves the right to request proof of such maintenance prior to performing any warranty-related service. The homeowner further agrees to adhere to ServicePlus Heating and Cooling’s Client Conduct Policy, as published at https://serviceplusheatingcooling.ca/client-conduct/. Failure to comply with the Client Conduct Policy, including but not limited to the use of abusive language, threats, or unsafe behaviour toward staff, may result in the immediate suspension or voidance of this labour warranty at the sole discretion of ServicePlus Heating and Cooling. 

Service Conditions

Warranty labour is limited to work performed during ServicePlus Heating and Cooling’s standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM EST, excluding statutory holidays). Any service requested outside of these hours may be subject to additional charges, which are not covered under this warranty. 

Limitation Of Liability

This warranty is limited solely to the labour expressly described herein. Under no circumstances shall ServicePlus Heating and Cooling be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to property damage, loss of use, or increased utility costs. 

General Provisions

This ServicePlus Heating and Cooling labour warranty exists solely to bridge any waiting period prior to the activation of extended labour warranty coverage and shall terminate immediately upon such coverage taking effect. It does not extend, replace, or duplicate any extended labour warranty. This warranty is provided at the sole discretion of ServicePlus Heating and Cooling and is contingent upon proper operation, and maintenance of the equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
